What is aloe vera and what is it used for?

Aloe vera (also known as sabila, acíbar, babilla, gamonite, or Barbados aloe, among others) is like a gift from nature for our body and our head.

Aloe vera is also known as aloe vera or aloe vera.

It is a shrub-like plant whose long, stiff green leaves seem to come straight out of the ground.

It belongs to the Asphodelaceae family and is easily found in sandy and rocky coastal areas of the Mediterranean, but also in other regions of the world with subtropical or temperate climates. Do not be surprised if you find it aloe vera in gardens and pots anywhere in Spain!

But beware, you have to know how to use aloe vera because it's not as easy as cutting a leaf from the plant and rubbing it in.

In fact, this can bring many problems of redness, allergies, and eczema due to the alloin, a toxic substance that must be removed properly before use to avoid skin problems.

Once this aloin is removed, aloe vera and the cosmetic products developed from it are a marvel and are used to cleanse, exfoliate, and, above all, deeply moisturize the skin and hair.
