Daniel Benito, is a TEAT from the Sol School of Tourism in Madrid. He began his professional career in 1996 as a bellboy in a prestigious hotel in the capital. It was then when he decided to change his studies, abandoning the degree in Chemical Sciences for tourism to devote himself fully to this world. Since then he has worked as a bellboy, front desk assistant, receptionist, front desk manager, assistant manager and hotel manager in different types of hotels, both in independent hotels and hotels belonging to major national chains.

What do you think is the key to your success?
The fact of knowing how to bring to our customers such a valuable resource as the authentic thermal waters from a different point of view than usual. Thermalism is not conceived as an activity only for senior citizens. We conceive it as something that must be offered to each and every one of the segments, so varied, of which the present market is composed. More and more people know the advantages and properties of the thermal waters, that is why they demand our services and combine them with the rest of our gastronomic and cultural offerings.
What would you highlight of your spas? Do you have a common line of work or each of the spas has its own personality?
While it is true that the line of work starts from the same base: authentic thermal waters and a maximum quality in the treatments offered. Each spa has its own peculiarities. In the Broquetas Spa we have an architectural jewel as it is our bath area where the mosaics of the authentic Catalan Modernism abound. We also have an authentic Roman sauna dating from the second century (This sauna is a purely ornamental element).
In contrast, in our Hotel Vila de Caldes the bathing area is of a more modern construction and its spaces are smaller which allows greater privacy, ideal for couples or small groups.
What are the most demanded or requested treatments by users? What would you highlight of your spas?
The most demanded services, apart from the services with medicinal waters, are: the thermal pool with bubbles, jets, and water cascade. Regarding treatments, the most requested are massages. Especially to relax and work the back muscles. We can also highlight more and more services for body skin care such as exfoliations especially in times of pre- and post-summer.
Of our spas I would highlight that, thanks to the combination of the benefits of our medicinal waters and massages offered by a team of experts in the field. We help not to add but to multiply the beneficial effects of all these treatments. All in two wonderful and different environments. On the one hand, an atmosphere that transports you back in time thanks to the modernist gallery in our Broquetas Spa. And on the other hand, an atmosphere that invites you to relax in a modern, comfortable and quiet space like our Hotel Vila de Caldes.
