General description
Since ancient times, there are many references in history about spa cures. La Garriga, a town just 25 minutes from Barcelona, has been known for more than a thousand years for the properties of its thermal waters.
This hotel, founded in 1840, was once a meeting point for the aristocracy and the most famous personalities of the time. It was erected on the site of Roman baths.
In 2022 the initiative was taken to remodel this health and wellness complex and thus restore the prominence it had enjoyed for more than 150 years, to reopen its doors in early 2005, with the intention of making it a clear reference of the spa offer in Europe.
In addition to being surrounded by the small modernist towers that define the architecture of La Garriga, it has a privileged location allowing you to combine your stay at the hotel with a hiking route along the different Modernist routes, go shopping at the Roca Village, visit the Montseny Natural Park (on horseback, on foot or by bicycle) or practice some activities at the Catalunya Circuit.
You can also visit Vic (the capital of Osona), Viladrau, and St Miquel del Fai. The Costa Brava is less than an hour away.
The hotel offers activities such as hot air ballooning, horse riding, and tennis courts.

Description of the Balneario
It was renovated in 2005 and has 3000 m2 of surface area.
- The Natatorium is a large thermal pool with jacuzzis, swan necks, and waterfalls, and jets at different heights. At the end of the course, there is a relaxation area with beds and infusions.
- The Templarium, inspired by the ancient Roman baths, has several pools with different temperatures (17ºC, 36º, and 40ºC) to activate circulation. In addition, there are also showers, a rest area with stone benches, a footbath, and a dry sauna.
- The outdoor pool with hot thermal water is open all year round. You will be able to relax outdoors surrounded by gardens.
- The Balinese area is a space that takes us to the Far East.
- The Zahir baths are a unique setting for intimate moments and rituals of the essences.
Hotel guests are provided with a bathrobe in their room to access the facilities. It is necessary to wear flip-flops and a bathing cap (although these can also be purchased there).

At the Blancafort Thermal Spa, spring waters are extracted at more than 55ºC. They are rich in bicarbonate, chloride, and sodium.

The Hotel Blancafort Thermal Spa has 150 rooms that are categorized into double deluxe with king-size beds or 2 separate beds, communicated rooms ideal for families, and suite rooms with 2 different environments perfect for long stays or romantic getaways (some of them with private jacuzzi).

El Olivo: with beautiful views of the gardens you can have breakfast a la carte fresh fruit, pastries, cereals, nuts, cold meats, and juices among many other things.
El D'Ors Gourmet: offers creative cuisine with seasonal products. Different tasting menus are proposed each season. They also offer romantic dinners.
The Raconet Restaurant & Lounge (only open in spring and summer) is perfect for a light lunch or a romantic dinner under the stars. It also has a chill-out area.
