Traditionally, the waters of the spa have been administered by the respiratory route to treat rhinitis, rhinoconjunctivitis, sinusitis, pharyngitis, bronchitis, bronchial asthma and by the digestive route as an adjuvant to inhalation treatment and cure of diuresis, kidney and urinary tract infections and inflammations and gout crises. But, like all other mineral-medicinal waters, they are not magic and do not suit everyone.
Natural inhalations, balsamic inhalations, aerosols, nebulizations, sprays, nasal showers, eye baths, diuresis cure, vaporarium and showers (body nebulizations) are performed.

The waters of the Balneario de Tolox are hypothermal waters of weak mineralization, very soft, being the predominant ions carbonate, chloride, sodium and magnesium. They belong to the group of oligo-mineral waters, according to the analysis of the Chair of Medical Hydrology of the Faculty of Medicine of the Complutense University of Madrid.
