The Hotel Marqués de Riscal, A Luxury Collection Hotel (which belongs to the Marriot International chain) is located in the heart of La Ciudad del Vino de Marqués de Riscal. The spectacular building has been designed by architect Frank O. Gehry, known for works such as the Guggenheim Museum Bilbao.
It is located between the vineyards and the medieval village of Elciego, in the heart of the Rioja Alavesa.
Description of the Spa
The Spa Vinothérapie Caudalie Marqués de Riscal created the SPA Vinothérapie concept with natural treatments based on the virtues of the vine and grape. The facilities have a heated indoor pool, a whirlpool bath, a barrel bath, a steam room, a Jacuzzi, a gym, and a pediluvium (foot bath).

The hotel has 61 luxurious rooms (10 of them are suites). They are distributed in two buildings communicated by a spectacular walkway. All have views of the vineyards. The rooms are designed by Alvar Aalto, B&B, with an avant-garde design in terms of shapes, colors, and materials.

The facilities have a viewpoint of two regions and two worlds: on one side, we have La Rioja, the wine, and, on the other, the Basque Country, the gastronomy.
The Gastronomic Restaurant of the hotel was awarded a Michelin star. In it, we can taste the signature cuisine of Francis Paniego.
In addition, the hotel also has the 1860 Tradición Restaurant and the Vinoteca&Bistró with traditional recipes.
