Description of the Balneario
The Vichy Catalán spa has a circuit with a jacuzzi, underwater jets, cannons, showers (bithermal, bucket), a cold water well, a pediluvium, and two saunas (one Finnish and another thermal, Hamman type).
The outdoor swimming pool is heated and opens from Easter to the end of October.

In 1881, Dr. Modest Furest i Roca visited Caldes de Malavella and discovered the properties of the waters of the spring "Puig de les Ànimes". He then decided to build the spa. In 1883 its waters were officially declared of Public Utility and began to be known under the name of Vichy Catalan.
The waters are of natural gasification. They are sodium bicarbonate and alkaline and at their origin, they come from the spring at 60º C.
