General description
The Hotel Balneario de Lugo is located in a privileged environment: it is in the middle of nature, in the Terras do Miño Biosphere Reserve, on the Primitive Way of the Camino de Santiago, next to the riverside promenade of the Miño River. It is located 2 km from the historic center of the city of Lugo.
It is a traditional spa for therapeutic purposes. Its waters were already known in Roman times, in fact, its thermal baths have been declared of Tourist Interest. They are located inside the building and consist of three vaulted rooms the Apodyterium (changing rooms), the Caldarium (hot bathroom), and the Tepidarium (transition to the cold bath which was the Frigidarium)
Description of the Balneario
All the facilities can be enjoyed in about an hour. This spa is relatively small.
It has a thermal pool, bubble baths, circular showers, Vichy shower, jet rooms, parafango and respiratory techniques (nasal shower, spraying, inhalation, aerosols).
It also has a wet sauna, a dry sauna, bithermal contrast baths, bithermal contrast baths and a thermal sauna.

The hot springs have hyperthermal mineral-medicinal waters. They are weakly mineralized, sulfurized and radioactive. They are also sodic, bicarbonated, and sulfated. Despite the simplicity of the facilities and the "stench" of its sulfurous waters, you are sure that your skin will be grateful for it.
