General description
In the Municipality of Anadia, in the foothills of the Sierra do Caramulo, at an altitude of 250 meters, in the middle of a dense grove, almost at the eastern end of the Bairrada, is the small village of Vale da Mó, with a great treasure: some railway water springs.
Amidst pine and strawberry trees, olive trees, acacias, and eucalyptus, makes Vale da Mó a peaceful place for treatment and rest. With a very dry microclimate, fog-free and temperate, you can enjoy beautiful and varied landscapes.
Description of the Balneario
The hot springs offer therapeutic programs: anemia, chlorosis and hyperchlorhydria, blood disorders (anemia and other iron deficiencies), gastrohepatic disorders and anorexia and convalescence from 14 to 21 days.
- Open Monday to Saturday from 08h00 to 12h00 and from 16h00 and 19h00.
- Sundays from 08h00 to 12h00 and from 15h30 to 18.
Type of waters
These waters are characterized by emanating at a temperature of 16.7º C.
They are highly mineralized, bicarbonated, magnesian, and ferruginous. They are bacteriologically pure, odorless, and have a slightly ferrous taste.
It is recommended for anemias and other iron deficiencies and for gastrohepatic complaints (gastro duodenal and hepatopathies) and anorexias.
