The Alcafache Thermal Baths are a quiet and peaceful place for treatment, pleasure, and rest, with a mild climate and located in the center of Beira Alta, in the beautiful scenery of the Dao River Valley.
Inaugurated in 1962, the Termas Sulfurosas de Alcafache spa has undergone a constant process of growth and improvements, always trying to offer better quality and comfort to thousands of customers. They are always betting on the innovation of treatments at very competitive prices.
The Termas de Alcafache is a small paradise protected from the population and the stress of the cities in a 100% ecological environment.
In the more than 20 000 m2, the body and spirit rest and recover in the quiet shade of the extensive pine forests that embellish this thermal jewel of the municipality of Viseu.
Type of waters
The waters are very mineralized and have a sulfurous, bicarbonate, and sodium composition.
The thermal waters of the Termas de Alcafache are some of the richest and hottest in Portugal and gush at 50º C.
They are indicated for the respiratory system (rhinitis, sinusitis, chronic and asthmatic bronchitis, and pharyngitis) and rheumatic and musculoskeletal ailments (chronic rheumatism, osteoporosis, spondyloarthritis, coxarthrosis, gonarthrosis, sciatica and recovery from motor difficulties and orthopedic postoperative conditions).
