The Termas do Carvalhal is located at about 500 meters of altitude in the heart of Beira Alta, district of Viseu, Castro Daire county, between the watersheds of the Vouga and Paiva rivers, framed by the mountain ranges of Montemuro and Arada, reflecting the unique characteristics of Castro Daire.

Type of waters
The mineral waters of the hot springs spring from a seismo-tectonic fault. It gushes at a temperature of between 42 and 60º C.
