General description
The Vilas del Turbón spa hotel is surrounded by beautiful Pyrenean landscapes. It is located on one of the slopes of the Turbón massif, which with its 2,492 meters high, is one of the symbols of the comarca of Ribagorza.
The Hotel Balneario was inaugurated in 1934. Its construction was a great effort at that time, since access to Las Vilas del Turbón was only possible on foot or by horseback, which made the arrival of the materials and the people who made the project possible difficult.
Two years after its opening it had to cease its activity and served as a shelter for children during the Civil War. It reopened its doors in 1942 and during the 1950s and 1960s it was visited mainly by the wealthier classes.
Today the third generation of the family has made major renovations to the building and modernized the spa offer.
Description of the Balneario
The spa has an active pool with jets, a circular shower, steam baths, a sensation and rain walk, a footbath, a maniluvium, a Vichy shower and aerosols.

Type of waters
Since always, the Turbón has aroused much interest in the properties of its medicinal mineral waters and there are many legends about them.
Its waters come from the Virgen de la Peña spring, which was declared a medicinal mineral spring in 1958. They are bicarbonated, calcic, oligometallic and strongly hypotonic. They are specially indicated to treat uric acid conditions, kidney stones, and gallstones. They say it is an excellent drink for metabolic disorders and a good diuretic.

The hotel has 55 rooms. They are equipped with a television, a safe, a full bathroom (with a hairdryer), and wifi. The stay includes 25 minutes a day of thermal circuit, one session by appointment for each night of accommodation.
Children under three years of age do not pay for accommodation and those from 4 to 12 pay a reduced rate.
