Description of the Balneario
The beneficial properties of the springs of Jaraba have been known since Roman times when these natural springs were called Aquae ninforum (water of the nymphs)
The Balneario de la Virgen began its therapeutic activity in 1828. The origin of this activity is in the birth of the natural pool that arises in Jaraba in the Middle Ages, which is nourished by the hot springs in the area.

The thermal waters of the Balneario de la Virgen are classified as: bicarbonated, sulfated, calcium-magnesian, lithinic and slightly radioactive. They flow at a temperature between 30 and 34 degrees, so they are mesothermal waters.
