General description
The Paracuellos Spa is located in the small town of the same name, near Calatayud, in the province of Zaragoza (whose capital is 85 kilometers away).
The Paracuellos Spa also has a large park, where you can enjoy a variety of natural and sports facilities, among which are: two natural lakes (one of them conditioned for swimming in the summer), walks and gardens, a paddle tennis court, playground, orchard, children's soccer field 7 and areas with sun loungers and umbrellas.
Description of the Balneario
The thermal circuit includes seven thermal techniques: active thermal pool (sulfurous water at 34-36ºC), two footbaths(at 15 and 36ºC),misty sauna for respiratory treatment, steam bath (100% humidity and 50ºC), thermal contrast pools (two pools, at 15 and 37ºC), shower temple and tepidarium.

Type of waters
In the 19th century, sulfur springs were discovered at an altitude of 569 meters above sea level. Due to its composition (sulfurated chloride-sodium sulfide), these waters are especially indicated for the treatment of skin, respiratory, muscular, and joint diseases. In addition, its high concentration of salts, combined with the thermal contrast of its circuits and treatments, have beneficial effects against stress and excess weight.
Inaugurated in 1848, the Paracuellos Spa was already attracting the best families in Spain at the beginning of the 20th century to enjoy its waters. The sulfurous water of this spa has enjoyed wide recognition by both the medical community and visitors throughout the more than 160 years of the establishment's history.

Throughout its history, the Hotel Balneario de Paracuellos de Jiloca has undergone several renovations. The last of these, in 2009, has adapted the establishment to modern times, without losing its classical inspiration.
